A father is a treasure, a mother comfort, but a teacher is both. He is fair, tall and handsome. He never tells his age, but i am sure he's older than a teen-ager. Now he's in Taunggyi running a Spoken English Class. He has been teaching for about 20 years. He was a sportsman when he was young and had been on the playing fields. He played football, hockey, tennis, golf and also ran a 100 meters and 200 meters. So he's still fit at his present age. Among these games, he likes football, tennis and golf best. He was said to be an all rounder and i look up to him on account of this reason. I'm still young and healthy but i am not as fit as "Sir" cos i hardly play games.

"Sir" keeps up with present events and he imparts much knowledge to the young. He's knowledgeable. He always says that he's lazy but he doesn't want us to be a lazybones. He's always all ears when we open up our hearts cos there's no generation gap between he and his students. He teaches us to think positively and to have self-confidence and self-reliance. He doesn't have a submissive character. He fights against obstacles and he always warns us not to quit half way. He tells us that we should try on and on until we get our destination. He is clever enough to know his students backwards and forwards. He let us know that Punctuality and diligence are of great help to go up in life.

"Sir" is never at lost for words and none of us win when we argue with him. "Sir" doesn't want his students to attend the class off and on and wants them to attend regularly. "Sir" says that it's very irritating when his students come late to the class and when they play truant. Only when i teach some kids, i understand the feelings of my teacher.

"Sorry, Sir for playing truant some time"

Besides his teaching method is different from others. We have to read, talk and write a discussion every Friday. It's he who ties himself in a knock cos he wants all his students to write discussions every Friday. After he listens and corrects the mistakes he's dead tired on that day. And every Thursday he loves to reiterate the sentence "Don't get sick tomorrow"..................however please forgive me "Sir" cos i do get sick on Friday sometimes.

I've seen many teachers who treat their students unequally but he's not included in that category. That's one of the reasons why he earns the respect from his students. When he teaches us, he never beats about the bush and gets to the point precisely and explains the lessons simply. He teaches us not only school lessons but also about "life". He tells us ways to skin a cat, how to increase knowledge and the way to broaden outlook. He tells us to reaffirm our commitment to work harder at English. He is indeed a wizard at English. For me, he's really one in a million. "Sir" loves to smoke and smoking is his cup of tea. But if you stop smoking, it'll be better for your health. I hope you can live long........................."I love you , Sir"........................i can say that no other teacher can replace your place...........................

He has been a great teacher indeed!! His teachings, his encouragements, his advices, never stop helping me as my life goes on. It's fortunate enough for me to came across such a great teacher in my life and get a chance be his student. I have also been one of those who prayed to get sick on Fridays or prayed to get a treat on the Essay turn. :) Now i fully realized how those Fridays' nightmares turned out to be a lot helpful to me. Sometimes I do regret that i haven't been so serious about Fridays. It has been a chance to enhance my thinkings but i somehow have failed to grab it. sob~ sob~
